Description
Ruski moved to our herd as a calf from the herding cooperative Muonio, about 150 kilometres north from us. He is an active young male and a bit suspicious towards all strangers. He trusts only those people who he is completely familiar with.
Ruski has trained to be a race reindeer. He has not participated onto the trial run, though, and seems not to be fast enough for racing. Instead, it seems that he will continue his job as a breeding male, bringing new genes to the herd.
During summertime, Ruski stays often close to home, and the cabin where he can hide to avoid insects. When grazing free, he is tamed and friendly.
